None compromising rock ‘n’ roll animalsfrom Germany that have seen line up changes in their early years havehad great success in Europe and Japan. But does thebeer, sweat and rock ‘n’ roll forever attitude from Gun Barrel still hold true with their fourth studio album?
Front Killersis the perfect depiction of a rocker where masculinity is primed withblind faith in their chosen genre. A barrage of noise that drives hometheir point. Old school rockin’ till the end. Yet it’s 2009 and I am inheaven.
Rockin’ guitars from the start with a vocal performance that would notbe out of place with AC/DC’s Bon Scott. Take it on the chin Keep On Movin’ looks at themonotonous points in life yet hits back with positively. Same old shit just a different day and year?
Its true this quartet is uncompromising with Brother To Brotherand their middle finger in the air. The bass sound is fantastic on thisalbum but hear sitsperfectly with arena guitars and vocals. Pinciroli keeps the wheelsturning while the rest of the band move between classic rock riffs andair thumping appreciation.
What I like about this band is that they come up with things that areunexpected. The intro is somewhat cryptic where the bass is punk likewith guitars are bittersweet. Outlaw Invasion is not what is expected from a title track of an album. Yet it shows the versatility of the bands playing.

This album is destined for a place in my car. It’s the perfect drivingalbum with twists and turns. It has its quirky areas but then this isin line with life and this album over all rational. Itstime these boys toured England.
